Cool temperatures this morning.
Today's forecast calls for cloudy and a high near 60.
I'm off to Anton, which is about 55 miles southwest of Yuma.
Enjoy your Friday and have a great weekend.

Reaching the Pacific Ocean after 42 days on the bicycle
Minneapolis to Huntington Beach
Pedaling a bicycle to Huntington Beach, CA has been my dream for more than five years. On September 1, 2007 the journey will begin. This blog will document "people" and "places discovered" along the journey. Welcome to a different way of seeing America. Enjoy a virtual ride!

Dear Brother
A beautiful Friday here in Cincinnati, Ohio. I wish I could travel the country on a day like today - So happy that you are doing just that. You are amazing big brother. God is with you always
Love
Denise
Dennis My Wonderful Big Brother!!
As your trip continues, I get more and more amazed at the adventures you have and how spiritual you have become. I do understand that completely, as when I was in Alaska, I truly felt God's love in Glacier Bay. I talked to mom last night and of course she voiced her concerns on how many bad things are in the world and how frantic she is about you on this trip. I reassured her that God was taking good care of you and when you are good to people ....good things come back at you. Dennis, you are such a positive person, I can't imagine anything negative happening to you on this trip. I have never been to any of the towns you mention and will visit, but I relate them all to the little town I live in.......Camden, Ohio. I have seen recently a couple of bikers traveling through with all the gear you are carrying and I want to stop them and wish them well, but they are intent on their own journey's and don't see me in my car.
You are doing something most people will never do, and you are having experiences that will change your life forever. I promise you will not be the same person as when you left. YOu have opened up your mind to discover the United States and you have opened up your heart to meet the great people of the US along the way. I applaud you for this venture and wish you all the best in your travels and oh, by the way, you are supposed to keep your mouth shut so you don't taste the bugs!!!!
I love you!!
Take good care!
Beth
