Minneapolis to Huntington Beach

Pedaling a bicycle to Huntington Beach, CA has been my dream for more than five years. On September 1, 2007 the journey will begin. This blog will document "people" and "places discovered" along the journey. Welcome to a different way of seeing America. Enjoy a virtual ride!

One Big Desert to Cross

This Vista played over and over all day. Can you believe the high temperature was only about 80?

God's beauty surrounds us everywhere we go.

Den,

What a day you had yesterday!! I am so proud of you. You have never drfited from my heart or thoughts. It is a bit disappointing that I am unable to catch you by phone. I miss talking with you. Nice to catch up with blog today.
It is a hot one here in Athens and very humid. We leave tomorrow morning to head home. I can hardly wait to see you on Friday.
I will try to call again later today, otherwise once I get through customs in Atlanta tomorrow afternoon.
It is unreal to believe your dream is almost over, but I know the memories will live on.
Stay safe, savor the last few days and get ready for my arms to embrace you when I see you.

Love you so much,
Cathy

Dennis,

There are a lot of people around the country living vicariously through your ride and blog. You have positively impacted many people.

"To accomplish great things, we must dream as well as act."
Anatole France
French novelist (1844 - 1924)

You are truly acting out a dream, versus just talking about it.

See you in Huntington Beach!

Ride On!!
